Outlook calendar settings - 30 minute meetings

I try to limit meetings to 30 mins. With a structured agenda and the right preparation, I've found 30 min meetings to be very productive. And, since I usually have back to back meetings, I try to schedule my 30 min meetings for 25 mins. A couple of Outlook calendar setting tweaks I find useful.

Change the meeting defaults to 30 min meetings + end meetings a few mins early. Change meeting settings for Outlook (File > Options):

My calendar view shows me time in 15 min chunks, instead of the default 30 min chunks. A 30 min meeting doesn't look so tiny any more. Change your Outlook calendar view to '15 Minutes' time scale.
